Does anyone know why, after adding DXPlayer, Shutdown refuses to work ?

No. But I am rather interested in that. Can please give me more details. What are you shutting down? Windows or DesktopX? What version of Windows, DesktopX and DXPlayer do you have? Are using ObjectMedia, SDPlayer, WinAmp or CoolPlayer? And what versions does the player you use have have?

MadIce - I am shuting down Windows XP Home edition.
Not sure which version of DesktopX - how do you tell?
DXPlayer 1.14 build 57
I am using SDPlayer & Coolplayer but also have Winamp and Sonique on my system.
SDPlayer version 0.39 build 99

OK. Those are rather old versions. Would you like to try ObjectMedia (new name of SDPlayer) instead? You can download it from Stardock Central. It will install a new version of DXPlayer too. DXPlayer wasn't the cause of your problem, but maybe SDPlayer was. Please try ObjectMedia and mail me (MadIce@Stardock.com) when you still have the problem. BTW: You can check the DesktopX version by opening SDC. Click the Software tab, then the Object Desktop tab. In the list you will find DesktopX and its version number.
